Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm have shown true community spirit in how we’ve come together to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in our Islands. Now we’re asking Islanders to share the ‘Guernsey Together’ spirit with the wider world.
The Guernsey Overseas Aid & Development Commission is supporting UNICEF’s VaccinAid appeal and encouraging Islanders to donate directly to VaccinAid, which will support the biggest international drive for providing vaccines to low and middle- income countries. Helping to vaccinate the global population helps to prevent future outbreaks, and future variants of concern, which continue to pose a risk to all communities, large and small.
The Guernsey OA&DC has donated £85,000 on behalf of the Bailiwick already (the equivalent of one vaccine per head of population of 65,000), but we’re asking you to contribute what you can, through this page. Every additional £1,000 would provide 740 people with the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you!
