We did it

On 1st September 2021 we successfully raised £1,784 ( + est. £185.50 ) with 36 supporters in 42 days

The communities across Skye and Lochalsh are raising funds to improve access to COVID-19 vaccines for all and ‘Give the World a Shot’.

If you make a donation to UNICEF UK using Crowdfunder, you confirm you are aged 18 or over, and understand that UNICEF UK may receive information about you. If you choose to add Gift Aid to your donation this information will include your name, address and donation details, including any message you add. We will use your information to process any Gift Aid claim and for analysis purposes.

Skye and Lochalsh residents have shown true community spirit in coming together to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the parish of Strath and Sleat is hoping to encourage our communities to donate to the "Give the World a Shot" - VaccinAid campaign, being run by UNICEF.

While in Scotland, we are making great progress with our vaccine programme, there are too many people around the world who don't have access to a vaccine. Let's do our bit to help Give the World a Shot. What better way to show our gratitude for the protection we have received than through providing ready access to vaccines.

You will be supporting the biggest international drive for providing vaccines to low and middle-income countries. Helping to vaccinate the global population helps to prevent future outbreaks, and future variants of concern, which continue to pose a risk to all communities, large and small.

Donations made to UNICEF’s VaccinAid appeal will go towards UNICEF’s work to purchase and deliver Covid-19 vaccines, tests and treatment to bring an end to the pandemic. In the unlikely event that the funds raised exceed UNICEF’s funding requirements for this appeal, your donation will go towards the Children’s Emergency Fund.
