Give the world a shot

Give fundraising a shot

UNICEF is a mission to deliver vaccines, tests and treatments to millions of vulnerable people all around the world. It’s an historic effort, that’s for sure. But with your help and with Crowdfunder with you every step of the way, we will do it.

To kick-off your fundraising, simply set yourself a challenge and give it a shot, whether it’s trying to break records or just achieve things you’ve never done before.

Because there are a million ways to get fundraising. And millions of reasons to start right now.

Our favourite fundraising ideas

Give running a shot

Hit the road. Run your own race at your own pace, and ask friends and neighbours to cheer you on. You could even do it in fancy dress - that'll get people donating.

Give baking a shot

If you’ve ever fancied yourself as the next Nadiya Hussein, get baking. Go big in the kitchen then sell to friends and family.

Give courage a shot

Feeling brave? Get your crowd to sponsor you to shave your head.

Give hiking a shot

Put on your walking boots and head off on a sponsored hike. Who knows how far those legs can take you?

Give quitting a shot

Get sponsored to go a whole month without chocolate, alcohol or cigarettes – or even all three. You’ll raise much-needed funds for VaccinAid while reaping the health benefits.

Give anything a shot

Get sponsored to say ‘yes’ to anything you’re asked to do, for one whole day. See if your boss or teachers will play along – just be prepared for anything.

How the money you raise will help

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a different way to raise money for good ideas. Put simply, it’s about using the power of people to come together and raise money for brilliant initiatives. It's been around for centuries but the internet makes it possible to reach much bigger audiences than before.

    Why UNICEF?

UNICEF is the only global organisation ready to deliver an operation of this size, being experts in large-scale vaccination initiatives. As part of the COVAX Facility, with your help they’re using their extensive knowledge and infrastructure to deliver COVID-19 vaccines around the world. COVAX is a ground-breaking collaboration between 190 countries - Its aim is simple: ensure every country in the world has fair and equal access to the COVID-19 vaccines. It’s co-led by Gavi (The Vaccine Alliance) and the WHO, among others.

    Where does the money go?

Vaccines are being prioritised for frontline health and social workers, teachers, and those at highest risk from the virus. Your donation will help struggling health services get back on their feet, as well as help millions of children go back to school, while protecting the most at-risk people.

    Who are VaccinAid?

VaccinAid are a collective of organisations brought together to fight COVID-19 around the World. The initiative is led by UNICEF and Crowdfunder, and is backed by charities, governments, the private sector and the public, like you, all working to end the pandemic.

So what are you waiting for?

Donations made to UNICEF’s VaccinAid appeal will go towards UNICEF’s work to purchase and deliver Covid-19 vaccines, tests and treatment to bring an end to the pandemic. In the unlikely event that the funds raised exceed UNICEF’s funding requirements for this appeal, your donation will go towards the Children’s Emergency Fund.
